Sun Bailante ‘the dancing sun’ spreads tropical and world music to the planet!

We have created Sun Bailante in London mid 2007 to share what we know about artists and songs with anyone interested.

Sun Bailante also organises regularly parties and events related to tropical and world music. In 2007, we have launched the ‘Sunday Bailante party’ at Ruby and Sequoia in Notting Hill. We started the Fiesta Sun Bailante in May 2008 in Salmon and Compass in Angel, London and moved to Rubylo near Bond Street in May 09. We are now at the Islington Metal Works in Angel. 

By tropical and world music, we mean all traditional or modern music from South America, Africa, the Carribean islands, Arabic countries, Asia, South & Eastern Europe, the Indian and Pacific oceans.

Jerome will always try to bring some exotic and quirky songs that you’ve never heard of! He loves a large range of global beats including Latin, Caribbean, African but also Indian, Oriental, Indian Ocean and Balkanic sounds.

Pritesh specialise into Electronic sounds mixing Latin house, Electro-Cumbia and Balkanic Funk. He is also a big fan of Drum and Bass as well as Hip Hop and UK garage.

Friday and Shakit are a Caribbean and African sounds lovers. They spins them with Urban tunes from Ragga, Soca to Coupe Decalle.

Finally there is Mr. Shakira who is always doing a great job at promoting here and there our lovely party… Nevertheless, he loves to be in the shade and avoids photos.
