Trinidadian Born Nikisha Reyes-Pile was born, into a musical family, and it was inevitable that she too would find her love for music. Nikisha began singing at the young age of five, she then went onto writing her first Calypso song at the age of eleven, entering the song into her Primaray School contest and gaining a respectable 3rd place at her very first competition.

Nikisha then moved to the UK at the age of 13, where she continued to pursue her love of music. She was encouraged by her school to broaden her musical gift to embrace all genres of music, It’s at that point Nikisha began training in classical music techniques to expand her vocal range and repertoire.

Over time, Nikisha has gained experience and techniques from participation in various competitions, workshops and events, such  as Hackney Empire’s Artist Development Program where she honed her songwriting skills; the UK Unsigned competition, as part of a group called ‘NNN’ with an original blend of UK Garage, Hip Hop, Soca and Reggae, which earned them the First Place trophy for the schools category; and in 2007, The Project Talent UK competition, where she made the final 12 out of 10,000 talented applicants.

In June 2009, Nikisha met Jah Mirikle, a UK reggae artist whom has an interest in a Soca collaboration. Nikisha then went onto recording ‘Roll My Bumpa’ with Jah Mirkle. After the huge reception gained from that song, Nikisha then went onto record ‘One Dance’ produced by SocaChild. This has launched her career so far where she has performed the hit release at various

functions including various Awards Shows, events and fetes.

Nikisha was also nominated for ‘Best UK Soca Artist 2k9′ at the 5th Annual Calabash UK Awards, after being on the UK soca scene in the space of ‘less than’ 5 months. A clear indication that Nikisha’s talent in the soca arena exceeds the expectation of any Soca Artist to break out of the UK.
