A friend of Mister Shakira was nicely chatting about music with a woman in a Pub in London West End.
She said that she found that since the 80’s people don’t really create music anymore and just copy what has been made by others bands. Also, there is no mainstream singer that currently brings something completely new as the Beatles did.
We do agree to some extend that the mainstream channel is full of cover versions, but still think that there is a lot of creativity in music and probably more than ever. However, as the media have become more fragmented it can be difficult to get hold of this music.
Moreover, sometimes a making off itself can be creative and innovative.
And you? What do you think?
Here are 2 great Latin House songs that remix the top original versions do you prefer the original or the remix?
The first is Cre Sabe, with the vocals of Nelson Freitas, the Netherlander with Cap Verdean origins, mixed by the DJ Carlos Silva. Here is the Veron remix which is blasting in Europe and especially Portugal.
The second, El Senor de la Noche is mixed by the DJ’s Magan and Rodriguez and part of the Spanish compilation Blanco y Negro.
You can clearly hear the accordion of the original Colombian Cumbia song Noche de Cumbia from Andres Landeros.
