Ravi Shankar the Indian sitar player and composer should perform at the Barbican in the city on Wednesday 4th June.

 

This concert is part of his farewell to Europe tour.

 

As he is ill the concert maybe cancelled.

On Monday 26th May there will be a concert celebrating 50 years of Bossa Nova at the Barbican centre. It will feature Vinicius Cantuária, Dori Caymmi, João Donato, Celso Fonseca, Joyce, Carlos Lyra, Roberto Menescal, Clara Moreno, Wanda Sa and Marcos Valle.
